On Thursday, May 2nd, chemical weed treatment was performed on the lake. Due to the chemical being a systemic herbicide, you should not use lake water for irrigation of lawns for 30 days. Sonar / Avast has no effect on fish, and other animals including humans. To keep the chemical in the lake, all stop logs have been installed in the dam drop box. Yellow signs have been posted around the lake and marker buoys were installed in the lake. Weeds will start to die, and after a week or two the weeds will begin floating on the lake’s surface. The weed harvester will soon be put in the lake and we will begin the weed removal process.

Message from the President
It is an honor to serve as your PPA president. With the help of the board, I am learning the ropes. I will always do all I can to ensure the best interests of the lake and her residents are heard. I am always available to hear concerns or to help in any way I can. With that said, I know many of us (myself included) had a substantial amount of storm damage last June. This is a friendly reminder to keep the roadsides clear of brush and debris. Also, properties must be maintained as well as not to attract unwanted rodents.
